| @Dean Harrison: You obviously havent heard about the Xbox Channel. The software giant Microsoft is in deliberation with the BBC to provide digital Tv and Video broadcasting services in the UK. The 'Xbox channel' will allow users to download TV shows, music movies and video content from the internet onto their Xbox360 console. Newer Xbox 360 consoles have a built in HDMI port for HDTV (1080p). So don't say it's the same, its not. It has been upgraded for the digital revolution. HDMI is fantastic you really notice the improvement in sound and graphics. | |

| I would say this one is a better all round console. Dolby Digital sound is excellent as is the graphics. Having owned two Xbox 360 consoles before I decided to upgrade to the Elite. The new Elite console is as loud as the old XBOX. Overheating is my other grumble; which can be prevented by adding a cooler unit. I got 1yr cover free, if it breaks during the first year I get an extended 3yrs full cover. This is borne by Microsoft along with DHL carriage is free in any warranty repair/replacement. | |

| On Tuesday XBOX sent out a major update for the XBOX 360 dashboard with DivX options. This is a major improvement to XBOX's inlight of the launch of on Marketplace Video Store - HD DVD video rentals!! DivX is what I had been asking for over the past year to enable transfering my downloaded video and music off my XBOX's to backup as DVD-ROM. | |
